higan is a Nintendo multi-system emulator that began development
on 2004-10-14.  The purpose of this emulator is a bit different from
others: it focuses on accuracy, debugging functionality, and clean code.

The emulator does not focus on things that would hinder accuracy.
This includes speed and game-specific hacks for compatibility.
As a result, the minimum system requirements for higan are very high.

The emulator itself was not derived from any existing emulator source code,
such as SNES9x. It was written from scratch.
Any similarities to other emulators are merely coincidental.

To install the port: cd /usr/ports/emulators/higan/ && make install clean
To add the package: pkg_add -r higan

Configuration Options 
===> The following configuration options are available for higan-0.92_1:
     DEBUG=off: Install debug symbols
====> Options available for the multi VIDEO: you have to choose at least one of them
     GLX=on: Build GLX video driver
     SDL=on: Build SDL video driver
     XV=on: Build Xv video driver
====> Options available for the multi SOUND: you have to choose at least one of them
     AO=off: Build AO sound driver
     OPENAL=off: Build OpenAL sound driver
     OSS=on: Build OSS sound driver
     PULSEAUDIO=off: Build Pulseaudio sound driver
====> Options available for the multi INPUT: you have to choose at least one of them
     INPUT_SDL=on: Build SDL input driver
     INPUT_X=on: Build X input driver
====> Options available for the single PROFILE: you have to select exactly one of them
     ACCURACY=off: Use accuracy profile
     BALANCED=on
     PERFORMANCE=off: Use performance profile
====> Options available for the single GUI: you have to select exactly one of them
     GTK2=on: Build with GTK+2 GUI
     QT4=off: Build with QT4 GUI
===> Use 'make config' to modify these settings
