This is the PHP extension of the pHash library, which is an open source software
library released under the GPLv3 license that implements several perceptual
hashing algorithms, and provides a C-like API to use those functions in your own
programs. pHash itself is written in C++.

Rename multimedia/mediabrowser to multimedia/emby-server, and update
to 3.0.5572.0.

The user and group names have change, but the uid/gid remain the same.
The port will continue to use the old database and user/group names if
they exist, but will default to the new names for new installs.

Instructions are in pkg-message for how to manually migrate things
yourself.

The FreeBSD GNOME team proudly presents GNOME 3.14 and Cinnamon 2.2.
Gnome 3.14.1 and Cinnamon 2.2.16 are supported on FreeBSD 9.3-RELEASE and up.

This commit removes the old GNOME 2 desktop, bindings and some ports that
can't be compiled. A few ports where updated to more recent versions to
allow them to compile with this update.

Apart from updating ports to newer versions

Imagine you captured a nice video with your camcorder, compact camera
or even cell phone while skiing, cycling or whatever sports, and the
video is basically just jiggled. Modern cameras come along with
hardware stabilization, however this does not work if you have really
strong vibrations - rather the contrary, sometimes this mechanisms
start to oscillate. Vid.Stab is your friend in this matter. It is
designed to stabilize even strongly jiggled clips.

Update CentOS base to 6.5, add userland ports

The Fedora 10 infrastructure ports have been in use since June 2009 and, while
having served a great deed, have become unsupported upstream and hence affected
by unfixed security vulnerabilities. In addition to that, many recent Linux
binaries need newer libc / stdlibc++ versions.

This commit adds the linux-c6- userland as drop-in replacement for the -f10
infrastructure, as well as upgrading the linux_base-c6 port to CentOS 6.5.

If you want to switch to linux-c6 ports, please define at /etc/make.conf:

    OVERRIDE_LINUX_BASE_PORT=c6
    OVERRIDE_LINUX_NONBASE_PORTS=c6

Add multimedia/x265, the H.265/High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) codec.

High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) is the latest generation video compression
standard.

  * This standard was developed by the ISO/IEC Moving Picture Experts Group
(MPEG) and ITU-T Video Coding Experts Group (VCEG), through their Joint
Collaborative Team on Video Coding (JCT-VC)

  * HEVC is also known as ISO/IEC 23008-2 MPEG-H Part 2 and ITU-T H.265

  * HEVC provides superior video quality and up to twice the data compression
as the previous standard (H.264/MPEG-4 AVC)

  * HEVC can support 8K Ultra High Definition video, with a picture size up to
    8192x4320 pixels

Digital TV initial scanning tables are used to speed up scanning for DTV
frequencies. Most dvb applications rely on them.

This supplies initial data for certain regions so that the dvb applications
in question only scan those known frequencies, saving a lot of time scanning.
These tables however need to be kept up to date by users.

- Finally import avidemux 2.6.8 as new ports multimedia/avidemux26*,
repocopied from the 2.5.6 ports multimedia/avidemux2 (left in
the tree for now for people that want a gtk ui etc.)
- Set CONFLICTS as only one avidemux version can be installed at a time.
- Don't import the 2.6.8 gtk ui as it crashes at startup and apparently
is abandoned upstream. (In the unlikely case that someone wants to fix
it, it is available at my redports tree.)
- As with the old version start by installing multimedia/avidemux26-plugins,
it is needed and depends on the other ports.
- (portlint is still not happy but I guess it cannot know everything...)

This is a clone of the existing multimedia/plexmediaserver port.

All future "Plexpass" (read: bleeding edge) releases will land here on
this port. Subsequently, all future public/stable releases of Plex Media
Server will be committed to the existing multimedia/plexmediaserver
port.

Now that Plex has stabilized on FreeBSD and users are not waiting for a
laundry list of platform-specific bugfixes it is important that we offer
choice of both the recommended stable version as well as the bleeding edge.

Add multimedia/livestreamer:

Livestreamer is a Command Line Interface that pipes video streams
from various services into a video player, such as VLC. The main
purpose of Livestreamer is to allow the user to avoid buggy and CPU
heavy flash plugins but still be able to enjoy various streamed
content.

Livestreamer is built upon a plugin system which allows support for
new services to be easily added. Currently most of the big streaming
services are supported, such as:
    Dailymotion

    Twitch/Justin.tv

Version 2 of the smpeg library.

SMPEG is a free MPEG1 video player library with sound support. Video playback
is based on the ubiquitous Berkeley MPEG player, mpeg_play v2.2. Audio is
played through a slightly modified mpegsound library, part of Splay v0.8.2.
SMPEG supports MPEG audio (MP3), MPEG-1 video, and MPEG system streams.

plaympeg is simple video players provided to test the library. The C library
interface is 'documented' in smpeg.h, and the C++ library interface is spread
out over the MPEG*.h files.

This is a work in progress. Only 16 or 32 bit color depth is supported.
The player will dynamically conver to other color depths, but playback
will be much faster if your display is already set to 16 bit color depth.

ffmpeg is a hyper fast realtime audio/video encoder, a streaming
server and a generic audio and video file converter.

It can convert a standard video source into several file formats
based on DCT/motion compensation encoding. Sound is compressed in
MPEG audio layer 2 or using an AC3 compatible stream.

What makes ffmpeg interesting ?
- Simple and efficient video encoder: outputs MPEG1, H263, Real
Video(tm), MPEG4, DIVX and MJPEG compatible bitstreams using the
  same encoder core.
- Hyper fast MPEG audio layer 2 compression (50 times faster than
  realtime on a K6 500).
[snip -> rest on website below]

ffmpeg is made of two programs:
* ffmpeg: soft VCR which encodes in real time to several formats.
It can also encode from any supported input file format to any
  input supported format.
* ffserver: high performance live broadcast streaming server based
  on the ffmpeg core encoders.

Libav provides cross-platform tools and libraries to convert, manipulate
and stream a wide range of multimedia formats and protocols. It originates
from the FFmpeg codebase, but goes its own way these days, providing its
users with reliable releases and a clear vision how to go forward.

functions.
