Notes from UPDATING
These upgrade notes are taken from /usr/ports/UPDATING
  • 2011-03-28
    Affects: users of net/openldap24-client
    Author: delphij@FreeBSD.org
    Reason:
OpenLDAP has been upgraded to 2.4.25. In this version, certain library
routines were moved from liblutil to libldap. If you previously built
the library with "FETCH" support, this would cause libldap to depend on
      FreeBSD's libfetch.so library.

As of 20110402, a local change have been introduced so OpenLDAP libraries
link against libfetch.so when FETCH is enabled. Normally, no further user
      interaction would be required.

For new installations, the FETCH option have been turned off by default.

    Affects: users of net/openldap24-{client,server}
    Author: delphij@FreeBSD.org
    Reason:
OpenLDAP has been upgraded to 2.4.24, which requires a shared library
version bump. Therefore, you need to reinstall all ports that depend on
      it. Please do something like:

      # portupgrade -fr net/openldap24-client
        or
      # portmaster -r net/openldap24-client

Avoid setting PKGNAMESUFFIX late, which in turn changes UNIQUENAME and
causes OPTIONS menu to be shown up multiple times.

As a side effect we have to make openldap24-client and
openldap24-sasl-client which we do not have a better solution at this
time.

Update to 2.4.2alpha after repocopy.

Please note that this is not connected to build at this time, as
the port infrastructure lacks some necessary support for this
OpenLDAP release which will be tested on pointyhat soon.

If you really want to try this out please apply the patch found
in ports/97515 or
  http://www.delphij.net/patch-bsd.port.mk
in order to get infrastructure support for it.

This work is heavily based on ports/96165 submitted by
Joerg Pulz <Joerg Pulz frm2 tum de>.
