I would like to have an optional function to sort the commits chronologically so that you can read them in a chronological way.

Are you referring to the commits within a port?
The commits are already sorted, with the most recent commit at the top of the page.
You want to be able to sort them in date order? Why is this useful to you?

no, sorry I didn't describe it very well. I thought you would remember our chat on IRC when you read it. ;-)
I just would like sort the list reversed, so you see the older commits first. Not the commits for one port but on freshports.org itself.
