That would probably be fine. I find that if I'm going to FreshPorts it's usually to see what has changed in the last little while: the description is not necessary to get this information.

If I want more information about a port I can click on the link on FreshPorts, or simply `cd` into the appropriate directory on my FreeBSD box.

With regards to the DL, DT, DD tags: I simply believe they are appropriate given the context of what you are doing. They would render on the screen as something like:

openoffice
[editors] [see changes] [commited by so and so] (have a BR HTML tag here?)
the big huge office suite, etc.

It would appear like this in both X browsers and in lynx (and w3m?).

It would then be easy to scan through to see which ports have changed simply going by down the list on the left hand side of the list (most literate individuals tend to start on the left hand side of a page since most written languages are of a start-from-the-left-and-go-right sort). The more detailed information is indented so it can be more easily mentally blocked if you're not interested in that port.

P.S. Is it possible to have a "Preview" button in addition to the "Quote" and "Post" when replying to messages to see how they would be indented/formatted once posted?
