Hi folks,
I spent all of yesterday on virtual categories. The hardest part was populating the ports_categories table. See http://www.freshports.org/docs/404-for-virtual-pages.php for the orginal design.
You can try the virtual categories out, for a limited time only, at http://beta.freshports.org/categories.php but be warned: you need that port number and not all recently announced features are implemented in that website (e.g. paging of the categories table). I've been working on multiple copies of the source code and they haven't all been merged yet. The beauty of CVS....
