The FreeBSD ports tree has no standard method for implementing SLAVE ports. This is why FreshPorts does not even attempt to process them. This is why exim-mysql appears to be out of date.

There is work underway to create a standard method for implementing SLAVE ports. Once this is done, FreshPorts will no longer have this problem.
