Hello, all.
I've already posted on the snes9x forum, and on bsdforums.org to no avail. This is just completely stumping me.
After installing the port, Snes9x seems to work perfectly fine, except for one thing... there is no sound.
I'm running FreeBSD 5.2 on an Athlon 1800+, 512MB of RAM, and have an NForce-based integrated sound chip. I'm running snes9x port 1.41.1
Things to consider:
-There is no error message at all.
-I have tried multiple ROMs.
-The audio driver works fine with other programs, such as xmms, with either esd or oss.
-Snes9x seems to have taken control of /dev/dsp like it wants to.
-My mixer is set normally.
Since Snes9x seems to have taken control of /dev/dsp, and gives no error message, I'm completely baffled as to what the problem could be.
I've read on the snes9x message board that I should use esddsp to run Snes9x with esd, but when I try, Snes9x crashes on anything other than the help message. It gives the message "Bus error (core dumped)"
Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give.
