I'am new in freeBSD and i have a question


my english is not very good but i try to write properly

When i instal from ports wol on FreeBSD 5.3 and i try to wake some computer from our net whit this command

wol -v 00:50:8b:ff:d5:38

i receive this

wol: Cannot send magic packet for '00:50:8b:ff:d5:38' to 255.255.255.255:40000: Permission denied

what can I do?

please help me

I guess the two quick things are what user are you running the command as and are you using any kind of firewall/packet filter ?
