 Custom Ports Tree

Hi all

I am new to BSD but am trying to set up a

FreeBSD server running JBOSS 4.04

To keep the server as minimal as possible i wish to create a minimal
ports tree with just the required members

JDK JBOSS PostgreSQL + dependencies where applicable

can anyone give me any help with this problem

I think you should be able to do this with a refuse file and c(v)sup. see http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/cvsup.html#CVSUP-REFUSE-FILE

You will of course need a more complex refuse file than the example, but it should work.
