Notes

  • Case sensitivity is ignored for "sounds like" and output is ordered by the soundex.
  • When searching on 'Message ID', the type of match is ignored.
  • When searching on 'Commit Message' only 'containing' is used.
  • When searching by 'Under a pathname', your path must start with something like /ports/, /doc/, or /src/. All commits under that point will be returned. The selected match type is ignored and defaults to 'Starts with'.
  • Searching for 'sounds like' is only valid for Committer, Maintainer, Package Name, and Port Name.

- Update `security/john' to 1.8.0-jumbo-1 (long overdue)
- Remove no longer needed build-related logic since they moved to GNU

- Disable OPENMP option for the moment; it will be reintroduced with
others (e.g. OpenCL) in a separate commit
- Add upstream patch to fix the build on non-x86 architectures [2]
- Do not define _POSIX_SOURCE when compiling wordlist.c: this results
in broken JtR binary at least on i386
- Define JOHN_SYSTEMWIDE_EXEC for the future when we start to provide
  fall-back binaries
- Stop moving john.conf to /etc. We're not doing it for other *.conf
files anyway (the include files); JtR is smart enough to locate its
configuration files properly when built in system-wide mode [1]
- Install full set of documentation files included with -jumbo
- Remove `xtract' symlink which hasn't been part of JtR for more than
a decade; install more useful symlinks (unafs, unique, other un* and
*2john) that were added in -jumbo instead
- Previously *.pl, *.rb, and *.py scripts were installed into DATADIR;
Alexander wanted to see them along with the documentation, but that
goes a bit too far; put them in ${DATADIR}/extra for the time being

Deorbit support for nVidia driver legacy versions by cleaning up in-place
patching of the driver(s) source code (part 2):

- Only legacy drivers didn't know about new d_mmap() after src r201223,
and page queue locking changes after src r207410, r207617, r207644, and
  r163622; ditto for /return/s/ioctl/sys_&/ after src r225617
- Remove now always true condition when adjusting Linux headers #include's
  after src r246085
- Contemporary driver versions are now aware of the +1 argument count in
  vm_map_find() since src r255426
- Do not try to unbreak the build of 173.14.xx series on recent -CURRENT:
this legacy driver version was removed by kwm@ in r399180 last year
- Remove remaining checks and patching code for outdated NVVERSION values

In sight of upcoming update, deorbit support for legacy versions (part 1):

- Make the top comment reflect the current reality
- MASTER_SITE_SUBDIR does not have be set later, as it no longer depends
on NVVERSION (this also allows to move ONLY_FOR_ARCHS where it belongs)
- Delete no longer relevant legacy only versions specific patches; retain
EXTRA_PATCHES as this separation would still be needed in new versions
- All security patches only touch legacy drivers and thus also deleted
- PAE and WBINVD options are now unconditional (independent of NVVERSION)
- Drop no longer needed LIB_DEPENDS on libm.so.3 from `misc/compat5x'
- Adjust a comment and simplify regexp that had been sitting in my tree
- Stop mentioning that this driver does not support PAE-enabled kernels

thttpd 2.27 www files touched by this commit Tiny/turbo/throttling HTTP server with CGI support
Another attempt to make `www/thttpd' multiple make(1) jobs (-jX) safe.

During the build process there is one case when parts (source files) are
located in different directories and then linked together. Dependencies
are specified seemingly correctly, but the problem is that the build rule
`$(CC) $(CFLAGS) -c $*.c' loses information about source file path due to
how `$*' is expanded ("no suffix or preceding directory components") and
does not specify output object path.

Change it to more robust and correct `$(CC) $(CFLAGS) -o $@ -c $<' as a
remedy. Since this is BSD syntax, remove `gmake' from USES.
