  • Case sensitivity is ignored for "sounds like" and output is ordered by the soundex.
  • When searching on 'Message ID', the type of match is ignored.
  • When searching on 'Commit Message' only 'containing' is used.
  • When searching by 'Under a pathname', your path must start with something like /ports/, /doc/, or /src/. All commits under that point will be returned. The selected match type is ignored and defaults to 'Starts with'.

Update libcheck (C unit testing library) to 0.9.3. Port changes
include:

*) Update check.m4 to search for libraries and headers in /usr/local/*
and $prefix/*. Ports/programs that use libcheck now work with the
configure arg `--with-check` without needing to specify the
location as an argument. Someone with more autofoo may want to
   review this. Patch submitted upstream.
*) Removed incorporated patches.
*) Installing docs and examples in their proper location.
*) Removed a description of the benefits of unit testing in pkg-descr.
*) No longer installing COPYING.

postgresql80-server 7.4.6 databases  Deleted Deprecated Expired files touched by this commit The most advanced open-source database available anywhere
Enter PostgreSQL 8.0.0. Given 4.11 is still being released, abuse -devel by
stuffing the 8.0.0 release in here for the time being. Port epoch bumped
because 8.0.rc* is greater than 8.0.0. A note from UPDATING to people who
want to use 8.0.0 via -devel in production:

The -devel port has been updated to contain 8.0 release since
postgresql80-server can not be updated until 4.11 is released and the
changes in PR ports/75344 are committed. Users who need 8.0 now can
use the -devel port, however, once postgresql80-server has been
committed, -devel will begin tracking 8.1. Please be smart about
tracking ports and if used in production, update to
databases/postgresql80-server as soon as it becomes available. No
dump/reload will be required when changing from -devel to
  postgresql80-server.

Update to 8.0.0rc5. This is likely the last update for this port until it
carries the 8.0 release. The postgresql80-server port is being held up by
the 4.11 release because 80-server requires scads of changes to Mk/*.mk
which won't be committed until after 4.11 is pushed out the door. Until
4.11, -devel will act as the 80-server until such time as 80-server is
enabled. Get all that? Good.

Given that 7.4's release is imminent, start tracking the 7.5 code base
which already has some slick improvements (now uses ARC and not LRU for

Upgrade to 7.4 RC2. For those that don't want to wait till Monday to
play with 7.4, here 'ya go. As of this version, the port will
correctly depend on bison 1.875, which may, for better or worse, 'cause
some confusion with users who don't read the build logs and don't not
the output from the relevant CONFLICTS section[1]. Regardless, far too
many people have noted the missing detection for a build dependency on
bison1875, so that has finally been addressed (*kicks bison authors for
incompatibilities*). Starting Monday, I'm going to update this to HEAD
that way people who want to see the new ARC page caching algo in action
can.

bison1875 1.875_2 devel  Deleted files touched by this commit A parser generator from FSF, (mostly) compatible with Yacc
When installing bison, create a symlink from bin/bison to bin/bison1875
that way ports that require bison1875 (ie: PostgreSQL 7.4+) can properly
detect this dependency. Given both bison's have the appropriate CONFLICTS
sections, this should be a big enough hint to users to move from
bison < 1.875 to something more recent. Bump port revision.

On an upbeat note, the release notes were finally flushed out with the
details of what's been completed for 7.4. Enjoy!
