openoffice-devel 4.2.1694132,3 editors files touched by this commit Integrated wordprocessor/dbase/spreadsheet/drawing/chart/browser (developer version)
Update to SVN revision 1694132, which contains some changes to aid
building with gcc from ports on FreeBSD. Remove the REINPLACE_CMD
patches in the ports Makefile and $FBSD_LDFLAGS from do-build that
are no longer needed for building with gcc in the general case.

Add a patch to disable optimization when compiling one source file
with base clang 3.4 on FreeBSD 10 amd64 to avoid tripping on a compiler
code generation bug. This allows us to build with base clang on
FreeBSD 10 amd64 instead of using the clang35 port.

Fine tune compiler optimization flags when using clang 3.6 on FreeBSD 11
i386 or gcc 4.9 instead of totally disabling optimization. Unbreak
the build with gcc 4.9 on amd64.

A few Makefile cleanups without functional change:

  * Combine two .if ${ARCH} == amd64 sections of Makefile

  * Merge the pre-configure target into post-extract

  * Simplify the code in the do-build target

Unbreak editors/openoffice-* build when GCONF and GNOMEVFS are disabled

There is a missing dependency on devel/dbus-glib that causes the
openoffice build to fail when the GCONF and GNOMEVFS options are
disabled. When these options are enabled, one of the dependencies
added by these options brings along dbus-glib so the default build
succeeds.

There is a configure knob to control whether or not dbus-glib is
used, so follow the lead of the libreoffice port and rename the
GCONF option to GNOME and bundle both Gconf and DBUS handling under
the GNOME option.

Borrow the MMEDIA option from the libreoffice port and use that to
control the using of gstreamer.

spidermonkey24 24.2.0_1 lang files touched by this commit Standalone JavaScript based from Mozilla 24-esr
Convert lang/gjs and lang/spidermonkey24 to USES=compiler:c++11-lib
to unbreak x11-fm/sushi on FreeBSD 8 and 9.

lang/gjs and lang/spidermonkey24 are currently built with
USES=compiler:c11. On FreeBSD 8, this causes them to be compiled
with clang from ports, and on FreeBSD 9, they are built with clang
from base. In both cases, they are linked to libstdc++ from base.

These two ports are dependencies of x11-fm/sushi, which also depends
on webkit-gtk3, which is compiled with USES=compiler:c++11-lib. On
FreeBSD 8 and 9 webkit-gtk3 is compiled with gcc from ports and
linked to its newer bundled libstdc++. Sushi is compiled with gcc
from base and consists of pure C code, so it does not link directly
to libstdc++. The build fails because ld links in the base version
of libstdc++ before it links in webkit-gtk3, and then discovers

evolution 3.12.11_2 mail files touched by this commit Integrated mail, calendar and address book distributed suite
Remove USES=compiler:c++11-lib from mail/evolution. While it fixes
the build failure on FreeBSD 8 (and probably 9), the application
fails to start because the base version of libstdc++ is loaded at
runtime, which does not satify the requirements of webkit-gtk3. The
reason is that evolution does not directly link to libstdc++, so
the rpath added to it by USES=compiler:c++11-lib has no effect. The
first shared library that links to libstdc++ belongs to
evolution-data-server, which does not have USES=compiler:c++11-lib,
which causes the base version of libstdc++ to be loaded.

Unconditionally add USES=compiler:c++11-lib to
databases/evolution-data-server. Adding the rpath to its shared
libraries will cause the newer version of libstdc++ to be loaded
when evolution starts and fix the runtime error on FreeBSD 8 and
9. For standard versions of FreeBSD 10 and higher on amd64 and

gnote 3.14.2 deskutils files touched by this commit C++ version of Tomboy, note taking application
Configure fails to find proper link command for Boost unit_test_framework
because it first tries to link this library statically, and when
that fails, it "forgets" to try linking it dynamically. The reason
is that it has a bunch of nested loops to try multiple variations
on the library name and keeps track of which library names it has
tried so that it doesn't retry the same library name. The problem
is that one of the loop variables also governs whether it should
try static or dynamic liking, and if static linking fails, the
library name gets added to the exclusion list, which prevents it
from trying dynamic linking. Fix by the value of the loop variable
$boost_rtopt_ to the key value into the list of library variations
to disambiguate the two cases so that linking both ways is tried.

Also move the location where $boost_failed_libs is set out by one
nesting level to prevent the same library name value from being added

dnstable 0.7.0 dns files touched by this commit Encoding format, library, and utilities for passive DNS data
Add new port dns/dnstable.

dnstable implements an encoding format for passive DNS data. It
consists of a C library, libdnstable, and several command line
utilities for creating, querying, and merging dnstable data files.

It stores key-value records in Sorted String Table (SSTable) files
and provides high-level interfaces for querying or iterating over
the stored records. dnstable encodes individual records using a
format tailored for efficiently storing passive DNS data and can
quickly perform both "forward" and "inverse" searches.

mtbl 0.7.0 devel files touched by this commit Immutable sorted string table library
Add new port devel/mtbl.

mtbl is a C library implementation of the Sorted String Table
(SSTable) data structure, based on the SSTable implementation in
the open source Google LevelDB library https://github.com/google/leveldb.
An SSTable is a file containing an immutable mapping of keys to
values. Keys are stored in sorted order, with an index at the end
of the file allowing keys to be located quickly.

mtbl is not a database library. It does not provide an updateable
key-value data store, but rather exposes primitives for creating,
searching and merging SSTable files. Unlike databases which use the
SSTable data structure internally as part of their data store,
management of SSTable files -- creation, merging, deletion, combining
of search results from multiple SSTables -- is left to the discretion
of the mtbl library user.

 * Update patch-*.mk patches to versions that were imported upstream.

Unbreak editors/openoffice-4 and editors/openoffice-devel on systems
where clang is the base compiler. The issue was that these ports
would only successfully build with gcc and libstdc++, so they
specified USE_GCC=yes, but they linked to other C++ ports that were
compiled with clang, which brought in libc++. The conflict between
libstdc++ and libc++ caused the application to crash whenever an
operation that popped up a dialog box was attempted. Thanks to
dim@ for helping me track this down. The fix is to patch various
bits of the openoffice souce to allow it to be built with clang
on systems where the C++ dependencies are also compiled with clang. [1]

The reason is that the openoffice build expects to find its own copy

The editors/openoffice-4 port currently depends on textproc/saxon-devel and
relies on features that are only present in this version of saxon. The
recent update to math/scilab added a dependency to textproc/saxon-he, and
it requires features that are only present in this version. Unfortunately
saxon-devel and saxon-he conflict because they both want to install
/usr/local/share/java/classes/saxon9-xqj.jar, which means that openoffice-4
and scilab can't both be installed on the same machine. Avoid this problem
by tweaking openoffice-4 use a private copy of saxon. This requires a

Remove the --with-system-graphite configure option to unbreak
editors/openoffice-4 on FreeBSD 10.0 and 11.0. The cause of the
breakage is that on systems with clang as the default compiler,
graphics/silgraphite is built with clang and linked to libc++.so.1,
while openoffice is built with gcc from ports and linked to libstdc++.
This combination causes the resulting executables to go boom.

Add a source makefile patch to unbreak the --with-system-jpeg option
and enable this option. The problem is that without this patch the
build tries to link to the openjdk version of libjpeg instead of
the version installed by graphics/jpeg.

The --with-system-mythes options also works, so enable it as well.

Adjust LIB_DEPENDS for these changes. Also make the graphics/png
