APC is the Alternative PHP Cache.

It was conceived of to provide a free, open, and robust framework for
caching and optimizing PHP intermediate code.

To install the port: cd /usr/ports/www/pecl-APC/ && make install clean
To add the package: pkg_add -r pecl-APC

Configuration Options

===> The following configuration options are available for pecl-APC-3.0.19:
     MMAP=off (default) "Enable mmap memory support (default: IPC shm)"
     SEMAPHORES=off (default) "Enable sysv IPC semaphores (default: fcntl())"
     SPINLOCKS=off (default) "Enable spinlocks (experimental)"
     FILEHITS=off (default) "Enable per request cache info"
     PHP4_OPT=off (default) "Little optimization to PHP4"
