Presenting GNOME 2.20.1 and all related works for FreeBSD.  The official
GNOME 2.20 release notes can be found at
http://www.gnome.org/start/2.20/notes/en/ .  Beyond that, this update
includes the new GIMP 2.4 (courtesy of ahze).

The GNOME 2.20 update also includes a huge change in the FreeBSD GNOME
hierarchy.  We are now using the more standard DATADIR of ${PREFIX}/share
rather than ${PREFIX}/share/gnome. The result is that fewer patches and
hacks are needed to port GNOME components to FreeBSD.  This will mean some
user changes may be required, so be sure to read /usr/ports/UPDATING for
more details.

This release and the things we accomplished in it would not have been
possible without mezz's crazy idea to collapse DATADIR, and his persistence
to make it happen successfully.  Ahze and pav also deserve thanks for

Chase librep shared lib version bump.

- Welcome X.org 7.2 \o/.
- Set X11BASE to ${LOCALBASE} for recent ${OSVERSION}.

Chase the GNOME X11BASE to LOCALBASE move, and fix the build with the

x11-wm/sawfish2 -> x11-wm/sawfish

Rename this ports to use the real vendor package name. The advantage of this
is to allow our users' keyword search works and easier for users to file the
Bugzilla report when they use our name of ports. Debian, Gentoo, NetBSD and
other OSs have the correct package name, but not in our ports tree.

My team, FreeBSD GNOME Team, have agreed with it.

As for other ports, chase the rename.

Begin the de-orbit burn of the GNOME 1.4 desktop.  This is phase I.  All
core desktop components are being removed.

Remove the renaming of Xft headers and library from the Xft (Xft2) port.

Convert all core GNOME1 components and some of the most popular GNOME1
apps to bsd.gnomeng.mk. The goal is to make GNOME1 framework more modular,
which will allow to use GNOME1 apps with GNOME2 desktop as well as considerably
reduce langht of dependency chains for GNOME1 ports (for example after this
commit AbiWord's dependency chain was reduced by 7 ports from 57 to only
50, while Gnumeric's - from 60 to 53 and so on).

The most of the GNOME1 apps are still not converted, so that lot of work is
still ahead.

Since sawfish (and dependencies) are critical parts of the GNOME   environment,
track the versions available on the GNOME sites, to ensure   maximum
compatibility.    

Just in the case undefine `WITHOUT_ALL' when building on bento.    

Rework optional dependency mechanism, so it's always produces -gnome version  
of package on the bento.    

When building package forcefully turn optional GNOME components on, otherwise  
gnome and gnome-fifth-toe packages contain incorrect dependencies list.    

Use ${ARCH}-pc-freebsdX as CONFIGURE_TARGET instead of ${ARCH}-freebsdX. I   did
not see any problems with the later on my local box, but it doesn't do   any
harm, so put it in to make few users happy.
