Begin the de-orbit burn of the GNOME 1.4 desktop.  This is phase I.  All
core desktop components are being removed.

Remove REINPLACE commands that were rolled into gnomehack.

* Set GNOME_DESKTOP_VERSION explicitly so users can upgrade or downgrade
  across desktop versions

GNOME has just changed the layout of their FTP site.  This resulted in
making all the distfiles unfetachable.  Update all GNOME ports that fetch
from MASTER_SITE_GNOME to fetch from the correct location.

Update to 1.4.2.

Fix another place where was the problem with paths relative to ${PREFIX}/gnome.
This makes "Settings" menu on menu panel working. Bump PORTREVISION.

Convert all core GNOME1 components and some of the most popular GNOME1
apps to bsd.gnomeng.mk. The goal is to make GNOME1 framework more modular,
which will allow to use GNOME1 apps with GNOME2 desktop as well as considerably
reduce langht of dependency chains for GNOME1 ports (for example after this
commit AbiWord's dependency chain was reduced by 7 ports from 57 to only
50, while Gnumeric's - from 60 to 53 and so on).

The most of the GNOME1 apps are still not converted, so that lot of work is
still ahead.

GC tons of useless msgfmt:... in BUILD_DEPENDS, when libintl already in
LIB_DEPENDS.

gettext upgrade uber-patch (stage 3)

- switch devel/gettext (0.11.1) on, installing full package
- flip devel/gettext-old (0.10.35) to installing only static binaries
  with a "-old" suffix -- gettext-old will have its deorbit burn
  sequence initiated just after 4.6-RELEASE
- fix up ports for the new world order

 Wierd stuff[tm] was happening   with the nightly build after the change that I
missed.    

Unbroke: add missed gnomecanvas into LIB_DEPENDS.    

SWitch maintainership of core GNOME ports to a small group of   committers
(gnome@FreeBSD.org), since this is now definitely too big   for just one person.
