required for an application which uses XLFD.
Eiter type the following in an X terminal:
xset fp+ /usr/local/share/fonts/alias-fonts
xset fp rehash
Or, more permanently, add the following line to the "Files" section
of your X.Org configuration file (typically /etc/X11/xorg.conf):
FontPath "/usr/local/share/fonts/alias-fonts/"
then restart X. After that, run the following command to check your
Font Path setting:
xset q
