Why was the website so slow for so long?

The cause of the slowdown was a change to the ZFS dataset. In conjunction with the database server, very little caching was being done. This combination resulted in increased disk I/O as the system churned through the database. Details in the blog post which outlines the various things which changed. Many graphs.

Hardcode the linux base dependency to the current default one. This solves
a problem with the upcomming new default one (which doesn't needs thi port,
it comntains already similar files) in an exp-build run.

While I'm here register a conflict with linux_base-fc3, it comes with
libgcc already (bump PORTREVISION because of this).

The linuxulator does not support Linux amd64 code. When ${ARCH} is
amd64, use the i386 RPM packages.
