The beta website now has a partial implementation of this change. The website now lists commits against the port tree which do not involve a port (e.g. Mk, INDEX).

You cannot yet view changes against a particular non-port like you can a port (e.g. Mk/ That will require further work.

The FreshPorts database has been recording all commits for many months, so all the Mk/ commits are there. We just need to start displaying them.
