To be clear: FreshPorts merely tells you what the CVS Repository has. In this regard FreshPorts does not actually *have* anything.

That is the wrong file. You want /usr/share/examples/cvsup/ports-supfile

Not cvs-supfile, which updates your system source, not your ports tree.

Do the cvsup again, with the correct supfile.

Yes, if you cvsup.

Try portupgrade after your cvsup has run.
