- Miscellaneous infos about the mounted SMB and CIFS shares
- Network search
- WINS server support
- Preview of shares
- Selectable look-up and search methods
- Default login

What's new:
Smb4K 4.0.4 (2025-07-31):
- Fix serveral issues with the UNC-to-URL conversion in the mount dialog.
- Port to KUIServerV2JobTracker. KUIServerJobTracker is in the process of
being deprecated.
- Update README.md to reflect the right location of the license files.
Smb4K 4.0.3 (2025-06-15):
- Do not copy empty credentials into the URL when reading the password,
and, thus, fix the failed mounting of home shares in particular, which
have no credentials.
Smb4K 4.0.2 (2025-05-15):
- Fix regression that Smb4K could not be compiled anymore with Qt versions
prior to 6.8.
Smb4K 4.0.1 (2025-05-13):
- Use Q_APPLICATION_STATIC instead of Q_GLOBAL_STATIC to avoid crashes on
exit (BUG #500855).

Mk/Uses: always use colon for build/run suffix
Most USES use a colon for build/run(/test) suffixes. Change kde.mk,
qt.mk and pyqt.mk to do the same, and update all ports using that.

Remove WWW entries moved into port Makefiles
Commit b7f05445c00f has added WWW entries to port Makefiles based on
WWW: lines in pkg-descr files.
This commit removes the WWW: lines of moved-over URLs from these
pkg-descr files.
Approved by: portmgr (tcberner)
Add WWW entries to port Makefiles
It has been common practice to have one or more URLs at the end of the
ports' pkg-descr files, one per line and prefixed with "WWW:". These
URLs should point at a project website or other relevant resources.
Access to these URLs required processing of the pkg-descr files, and
they have often become stale over time. If more than one such URL was
present in a pkg-descr file, only the first one was tarnsfered into
the port INDEX, but for many ports only the last line did contain the
port specific URL to further information.
There have been several proposals to make a project URL available as
a macro in the ports' Makefiles, over time.

KDE: Chase availabiliy of qt5-declarative
In da36e637247b a dependency on qt5-declarative was made
available in kf5-kconfig. This leads to the generation of
further desktop files in some of the KDE ports.
x11/kf5-frameworks: Update KDE Frameworks to 5.84.0
Saturday, 10 July 2021
KDE today announces the release of KDE Frameworks 5.84.0.
KDE Frameworks are 83 addon libraries to Qt which provide a wide variety
of commonly needed functionality in mature, peer reviewed and well
tested libraries with friendly licensing terms. For an introduction see
the KDE Frameworks release announcement.
This release is part of a series of planned monthly releases making
improvements available to developers in a quick and predictable manner.

KDE_INVENT: drop WRKSRC hack
When USE_GITLAB was changed to follow upstream GitLab's change
in the way tag-tarballs were delivered, a hack was added to
KDE_INVENT because **that** GitLab installation lagged behind
(by one minor revision, Ithink). Now KDE's installation has
been upgraded, it had the same tag-tarball layout as other
GitLabs and the hack is no longer needed.
The ports that use KDE_INVENT have their distinfo updated,
but the ports themselves do not change so I'm not bumping
PORTREVISION; it's the same git checkout, just with different
icing on top.
KDE not-Applications: chase doctools
These ports use KDE Frameworks and require kdoctools to build. Since
that is no longer an implicit build & run dependency, (re)introduce it
explicitly as a build-time dependency.
Use KDE_INVENT where appropriate
KDE ports that use unreleased versions / versions straight from git.
PORTVERSION or DISTVERSION increased:
- audio/amarok has a newer tag so the commit hash jumps.
- devel/heaptrack has a newer tag so the commit hash jumps.
- graphics/kooka advances to a newer commit, nothing spectacular.
- graphics/peruse advances a great deal to its current state, which
is slightly-before-a-real-release. This one will be dropping KDE_INVENT
and going to normally-released soon, says upstream.
- net/smb4k has a newer tag so the commit hash jumps.
PORTVERSION unchanged, but I didn't bump PORTREVISION either
because it's the same software:
(Only the first 15 lines of the commit message are shown above )
Add compiler:c++11-lang to USES to fix build on GCC-based systems:
CMake Error in core/CMakeLists.txt: The compiler feature
"cxx_decltype" is not known to CXX compiler "GNU" version 4.2.1.

net/smb4k: reinstate port
Smb4K is an advanced network neighborhood browser and Samba share mounting
utility. It is based on the KDE Frameworks 5 and Samba's client library
(libsmbclient). It scans your network neighborhood for all available
workgroups, servers and shares and can mount all desired shares to your local
file system.

KDE3 and QT3 expired on 2013-07-01, remove these ports.
Unfortunately, this also affects some ports using QT3 as a GUI toolkit.
Changes to infrastructure files:
- bsd.kde.mk : obsolete, remove
- bsd.qt.mk : note that a CONFLICTS_BUILD line can probably go after a while
- CHANGES : document the removals from bsd.port.mk
- KNOBS : remove KDE and QT (KDE4 and QT4 should be used instead)
- MOVED : add the removed ports

Remove INSTALLS_ICONS from kde ports.
In the soon to be committed glib and gtk update, the INSTALLS_ICONS macro
will gain the long missing gtk-update-icon-theme dependancy.
After talking with members from of our KDE team. There isn't any indication
that this gtk util is usefull for KDE.
-Repocopy devel/libtool15 -> libtool22 and libltdl15 -> libltdl22.
-Update libtool and libltdl to 2.2.6a.
-Remove devel/libtool15 and devel/libltdl15.
-Fix ports build with libtool22/libltdl22.
-Bump ports that depend on libltdl22 due to shared library version change.
-Explain what to do update in the UPDATING.
It has been tested with GNOME2, XFCE4, KDE3, KDE4 and other many wm/desktop
and applications in the runtime.

Edwin, can you change for all my ports maintainer address from
achilov-rn@askd.ru to citycat4@ngs.ru?
Bump portrevision due to upgrade of devel/gettext.
The affected ports are the ones with gettext as a run-dependency
according to ports/INDEX-7 (5007 of them) and the ones with USE_GETTEXT
in Makefile (29 of them).
