Tmux is a terminal multiplexer, it enables a number of terminals to be accessed
and controlled from a single terminal. tmux is intended to be a simple, modern,
BSD-licensed alternative to programs such as GNU screen.
===> The following configuration options are available for tmux-3.8:
DOCS=on: Build and/or install documentation
EXAMPLES=on: Build and/or install examples
LIBEVENT_STATIC=off: Build with static libevent
UTF8PROC=off: Build with utf8proc support
===> Use 'make config' to modify these settings
tmux must be restarted after upgrading.
If you see the following message when you try to attach, it likely means
you forgot to restart tmux:
open terminal failed: not a terminal
If upgrading from < 3.6a:
The bash completions for tmux have been moved to the bash-completion package.
Reason:
tmux must be restarted after upgrading. This is particularly
important with version 3.6 because one of the libraries that tmux uses
has changed its protocol. If you see the following message when you
try to attach, it likely means you forgot to restart tmux:
open terminal failed: not a terminal

sysutils/tmux: Use ncurses from base if ncurses is new - 6.5
In 14 after 1401502 and in 15 after 1500020 ncurses is new - 6.5.
While here remove GNU_CONFIGURE_MANPREFIX.

sysutils/tmux: unbreak UTF8PROC on FreeBSD 14-CURRENT
...and set UTF8PROC_USES=localbase. On FreeBSD 13 and older,
the utf8proc version works without because we have USES=ncurses,
which pulls in the localbase equivalent through
ports/Mk/Uses/ncurses.mk. FreeBSD 14 builds use base ncurses instead,
so we need to make localbase explicit for utf8proc.
No PORTREVISION bump required because we would not have packages
to flush out.

Remove WWW entries moved into port Makefiles
Commit b7f05445c00f has added WWW entries to port Makefiles based on
WWW: lines in pkg-descr files.
This commit removes the WWW: lines of moved-over URLs from these
pkg-descr files.
Approved by: portmgr (tcberner)
Add WWW entries to port Makefiles
It has been common practice to have one or more URLs at the end of the
ports' pkg-descr files, one per line and prefixed with "WWW:". These
URLs should point at a project website or other relevant resources.
Access to these URLs required processing of the pkg-descr files, and
they have often become stale over time. If more than one such URL was
present in a pkg-descr file, only the first one was tarnsfered into
the port INDEX, but for many ports only the last line did contain the
port specific URL to further information.
There have been several proposals to make a project URL available as
a macro in the ports' Makefiles, over time.

Fix utempter usage[1] and disable utf8proc[2] by default.
1) utempter support was broken starting in 3.0, it was not registering
panes as being logged in.
2) using utf8proc seems to create mor problems than it solves, so
disable it for now.

Add a default option to use utf8proc for Unicode normalization,
case-folding, and other operations.
It is substantially better and more up-to-date than the libc functions
providing the same features.

New port: sysutils/tmux23: The older version 2.3 of sysutils/tmux
Miroslav Lachman reported that the version 2.3 is free
of buggy behavior with mouse scrolling etc. that was
introduced in later versions.
While in sysutils/Makefile, also fixed a minor ordering
problem.

Let tmux install itself.
It does some patching to the man page at install time, and this was
overriding it.

Import upstream commit to make emacs-in-tmux-in-tmux show cursor.
Import upstream commit 2c53b23d59 to make the cursor appear when running
Emacs in a tmux nested inside another tmux session (this is particularly
useful when trying to edit a text file on a remote server that is also
running tmux).

Use the real upstream version.
DISTVERSION=1.9a computes to a PORTVERSION of 1.9.a, which by our terms, means
1.9.alpha, and is before 1.9, so switch to a PORTVERSION of 1.9a, which is
after 1.9. Remove the PORTSCOUT line, it's of no use any more.

Only use libevent2
Remove libevent as libevent2 is providing a good compatibility interface as well
as providing better performances.
Remove custom patches from libevent2 and install libevent2 the regular way
Mark ports abusing private fields of the libevent1 API as broken
Import a patch from fedora to have honeyd working with libevent2
Remove most of the patches necessary to find the custom installation we used to
have for libevent2
