- Add ftp.stu.edu.tw to MASTER_SITE_VIM
This commit updates the removal of ftp.stut.edu.tw in r343524.
It seems to be a typo in r282865.

Revert r340911 for now.
CDN redirection is not working well with IPv6 (it either times out or fails
with 'No address record'), so back out the commit until there's time to
investigate this issue.
Use only the official CDNs in MASTER_SITE_{KDE,QT}.
Now that FETCH_ARGS accepts redirections by default, we can use only the
official CDNs used by KDE and Qt, and they care of choosing an appropriate
mirror.
We didn't keep our lists very up-to-date, nor did we correctly prioritize
the entries there anyway.

Replace a redirect URL (containing multiple query params) with the actual site
address.
This is a workaround to fix eclipse port download:
=> <distfile> doesn't seem to exist in /distfiles/.

Mk/bsd.site.mk: Remove cs.pu.edu.tw addresses
All the cs.pu.edu.tw addresses, http and ftp, have been down for at
least three weeks. It doesn't appear to be a transient outage.

- Add new CDNs for perl modules in head of list
a) http://cpan.metacpan.org
b) http://www.cpan.org
- Prefer to try HTTP protocol first.
While I'm here: change order of new sites. Let metacpan go first.

Use download.kde.org as the first option for MASTER_SITE_KDE.
After r338507 we can safely use download.kde.org (a CDN) by default for KDE
ports. It's most likely to be the fastest option.
Mk/bsd.sites.mk: Update GCC mirrors
The GCC mirror site list had gotten stale. A few sites have been down
for months. A few more sites may have rearranged their directory tree
because the distfiles are no longer under "releases" folder (that
folder had been removed and it's part of the MASTER_SITE_SUBDIR so the
fetch fails even though the distfile is actually on the server).
The broken mirrors were removed. The <http://gcc.gnu.org/mirrors.html>
file was checked for new mirrors, all of which are http://-based. These
were put above ftp://-based mirrors in priority. Moreover, the
MASTER_SITE_SOURCEWARE variable was manually expanded excluding the
notoriously slow Austrian mirror (gd.tuwien.ac.at) and distributing
the remaining three sites leaving the first at the top of the list as
it always has been.
Say hello to Mate 1.6.
Mate is a lite desktop forked from gnome2.
Most of the work is done by Jeremy Messenger (mezz@). The only thing I did
was update a few ports to later 1.6 release and attempting to keep up with
ports infra changes. Resulting bugs are all mine.
Mate is a sort of replacement for Gnome 2. So people wanting to keep a
Gnome 2 like desktop should switch. Gnome 2 will be replaced by Gnome 3
in the near future. This switch will be announce with a transition time
so people have more time to switch if they haven't already.
This release was made possible by everyone that send friendly pokes to
keep mate on my mind.

Update MASTER_SITE_QT.
download.qt-project.org is a CDN and should redirect to the closest mirror
anyway, but a few more mirrors have been added just in case.
Switch to using FTP for the ftp.ntu.edu.tw kernel.org mirror.
The HTTP counterpart does not return correct HTTP error codes when, for
example, a file is not found, which causes checksum errors as described in
ports/179432. The FTP mirror seems to behave as expected.

GitHub is such a nightmare for distfile fetching.
I added a comment showing an easy way to fetch a distfile from GitHub.
Using this method, you don't need to track the 7-digit commit at all.
In fact, the distfile name and its contents behave like a normal, sane
distfile would.

Github support indicates they plan to continue supporting the

but that using nodeload. may change at any time.

Create MASTER_SITE_MPLAYERHQ and use it for the 2 ports that have these
sites in common. This will allow people who use ports-mgmt/fastest_sites
(or other methods) to selectively eliminate those sites from this list
that are locally unreachable. It also adds more potential sites for both
ports.
I checked all of these sites and they each have the distfiles for both
ports. The omission of ftp[23] is intentional, those sites are not
functional.

remove the Thessaloniki Sunsite mirror after repeated distilator NXDOMAIN
results; to compensate for this and previous removals, and to obtain a better
geographical spread, add the Sunsite mirrors in Oviedo, Paris, and Stellenbosch
(found via http://ibiblio.org/pub/linux/MIRRORS.html )
Remove several problematic mirrors:
- the edisontel Sunsite mirror has been giving consistent 404
responses locally and in the distilator results;
- the transact and softlayer Sourceforge mirrors have been giving
consistent NXDOMAIN responses locally and in the distilator results,
and were removed 15 months ago from version 40 of the official

Add two mirror sites to the end of list with hardcoded search by module name.
This should help portscout bot in detection of new version on CPAN while author

- Update the GTLib mirrors as described in the note at
http://www.gtlib.gatech.edu/ :
"Please do not use the old names ftp-linux.cc.gatech.edu,
www.gtlib.cc.gatech.edu, ftp.gtlib.cc.gatech.edu or
rsync.gtlib.cc.gatech.edu as they are now deprecated and may cease to
exist. The supported names for GTlib services are
www.gtlib.gatech.edu, ftp.gtlib.gatech.edu and
rsync.gtlib.gatech.edu."
Restore a corrected version of the GTlib GNOME mirror that was removed
in revision 1.563. This leaves only one outdated GTlib entry, in
MASTER_SITE_SUSE:
ftp://ftp-linux.cc.gatech.edu/pub/suse/suse/%SUBDIR%/
This should probably be changed to:
ftp://ftp.gtlib.gatech.edu/pub/opensuse/distribution/ ...
but it is currently unused. Leave the other GTlib Linux mirrors for
reference during possible future Linux updates, even though some of
the older directories they point to have since been emptied and their
contents moved to separate archives, as on some other Linux mirrors.
- Remove the USC GNU mirror, which has been only sparsely updated
since Jan. 2011 -- according to distilator results it is missing 141
(about 40%) of the GNU distfiles. Replace it with the nearby
kernel.org GNU mirror.
Mirror has been shut down.
