Deprecate unmaintained ports from net where upstream disapear and/or
where no distfiles can be found and are not used by maintained ports

This does not need gmake at all.

Add missing USE_GETTEXT

- use gethostname() instead of uname(): the latter returns only returns
    the first 32 chars of the hostname
- patch helper-script to generate less bogus intermediate output
- NB: This port will still register a wrong dependency on dns/host when
    dns/bind is installed

Bump PORTREVISION on all ports that depend on gettext to aid with upgrading.

Fix breakage introduced by the gettext conversion.

Use LDFLAGS env. variable to pass PTHREAD_LIBS into configure, because it  
appears that LIBS is not honoured.    

- Correct dependencies - we need to use ``host'' command from the ports, not    
from the base system;   - remove explicit -O6 from the CFLAGS.    

Update to 0.9.0.    

- Unbroke with threaded Mesa libraries (XFree86-4);   - provide workaround for
sscanf(3) bug in 5-CURRENT, that causes SIGBUS.    

Whitespace-only:   Make indentation uniform across my ports.    

Implement USE_GTK, part 2.    

(1) Add new variable, XFREE86_VERSION, to specify which version of       XFree86
(3 or 4) to depend to when USE_XLIB is set.       XFREE86_VERSION defaults to 3
for now, but adventurous users can       override it in /etc/make.conf.  When
XFREE86_VERSION=3, USE_XLIB       will add a dependency to x11/XFree86; when it
is set to 4, the       dependency will be to x11/XFree86-4-libraries.  When     
 XFREE86_VERSION=4, the PKG_IGNORE_DEPENDS and ALWAYS_BUILD_DEPENDS       hacks
to avoid messing with XFree86 are turned off.    

--with-lib-MesaGL --> --with-lib-GL to avoid errors when utah-glx used instead
of Mesa.    

Adjust for the libgtkgl version bump.
