Set the expiration date for all ports which depend upon linux_base-fc4 to
the EoL of the last 7.x release. The 7.x branch is the only supported
FreeBSD version not yet at his EoL which needs a linux 2.4 based linuxulator
environment (linux_base-f10 doesn't work there).

I didn't bump the portrevision, this is mostly done as a hint for ports
committers to tell them that at least the emulation@-owned ports need
to stay until then (even the forbidden ones). The dependent ports need to
go at the same time, but are free to be deleted before.

Welcome to the new linux ports infrastructure which allows using
both current (fc4) and future linux (f8) distributions at one
ports tree.

The patch contains full changes to ports/Mk files and all ports involved.
But only infrastructure is changed. The resulting packages are the same as
before. Hence no need to bump PORTREVISIONs.

The idea was taken from bsd.gnome.mk and others.

More than 130 ports are switched to follow a new linux infrastructure
introduced by changes to bsd.port.mk, bsd.linux-rpm.mk and a new
bsd.linux-apps.mk.

Thanks for all who was involved and helped me with this work.
And help from Alexander Leidinger was incredible.

Regarding linux-ungif I declare a maintainer timeout (one month, Boris tried
to contact the maintainer) and also pull the "sweeping commit"-card (the
port which it uses as some kind of master port can not be used for this
anymore). Besides this, I don't think he will be upset when other people
do the work instead of adding an entry to his TODO list. :-)

Allow to replace with an old package (useful in the portupgrade case).

Mega-patch to cleanup the ports infrastructure regarding our linux bits:
  - USE_LINUX now implies NO_FILTER_SHLIBS=yes. It also doesn't use FreeBSD
    tools to strip binaries anymore, so it's not neccesary anymore to override
    STRIP and STRIP_CMD.
  - USE_LINUX_PREFIX implies NO_MTREE now.
  - In the USE_LINUX case, USE_XLIB now depends upon the linux X11 libraries
    instead upon the native FreeBSD libraries.
  - The variable LINUX_BASE_PORT contains a string which is suitable as an
    item in *_DEPENDS, so if a port BATCH_DEPENDS or FETCH_DEPENDS upon the
    default (or overriden) linux base, ${LINUX_BASE_PORT} should be used
    instead of a hardcoded reference.
  - Change all ports to comply to the "new world order".
  - The Ports Collection now allows to override the default linux_base port.
    Specify e.g. OVERRIDE_LINUX_BASE_PORT=rh-9 in /etc/make.conf to use
    ${PORTSDIR}/emulators/linux_base-rh-9 (the logic is to use

Respect the user's USE_LINUX setting.

1. uses "ARCH" instead of "MACHINE_ARCH"
2. allow "ARCH" to be over-ridable.
3. fix ordering to better follow Mk/bsd.port.mk guidelines

XXX, I don't like setting "--ignorearch", but some ports just would not
install on amd64 w/o it.  Even with the 'ARCH' override, installing these
RPM's would complain about the system being the wrong architecture.

Say hello to the linux mega patch, it consolidates our linux bits a
little bit and allows to proceed to a more recent linux_base from
a stable (read as: the major bugs should be ironed out or identified
and most linux ports build just fine) source.

It also allows to ship 4.11 with a working linuxolator (the EOLed
linux_base is marked forbidden because of a security hole).

This is a major update, please read UPDATING (and CHANGES if you
develop linux ports).

 - add a newer freetype to linux_base-8 for nicer fonts display [1]

The rpm executable is needed in do-install, so having it as I did
as "BUILD_DEPENDS?=" is illogical.  Instead use "BUILD_DEPENDS+=".

Bump PORTREVISION on all ports that depend on gettext to aid with upgrading.

with my i386-only slave ports, noticed by kris in bento logs).

Change from MASTER_SITES= to MASTER_SITES?=     to be able to overwrite in slave
ports    

Remove ftp.freesoftware.com from MASTER_SITES of ports since it no longer
exists.    

`rpm' and `rpm2cpio' have been repocopied from "misc" to "archivers".    

This port is a master port for a lot of ports whose maintainers are   different.
So "MAINTAINER=" should be "MAINTAINER?=".    

add missing files under /etc/gtk for i386.   remove directories if empty(note:
this port does not use mtree).
