Why was the website so slow for so long?

The cause of the slowdown was a change to the ZFS dataset. In conjunction with the database server, very little caching was being done. This combination resulted in increased disk I/O as the system churned through the database. Details in the blog post which outlines the various things which changed. Many graphs.

Use the email address from the FreeBSD project for my ports.

Rink Springer also asked me if he could maintain his own ports. Change
maitainership of games/sudsol, net/freedbd and net/kissd to Rink.

elfrc is a utility that is able to compile resources (files) to object
files. It can also generate corresponding C/C++ header files to use
these resources from within a linked application.
