Jupp is the portable version of JOE's Own Editor.
This version has been enhanced by several functions intended for
programmers or other professional users, and has a lot of bugs fixed.
It is based upon an older version of joe because these behave better
overall. Jupp also does come with the editor flavours known from joe,
specifically, jmacs, joe, jpico, jstar, and rjoe.

WordGrinder is a simple, Unicode-aware word processor that runs on the
console. It's designed to get the hell out of your way and let you write;
it does very little, but what it does it does well.
It supports basic paragraph styles, basic character styles, basic screen
markup, a menu interface that means you don't have to remember complex
key sequences, HTML import and export, and some other useful features.
WordGrinder does not require X. It runs in a terminal.

Changes to editors/emacs and Mk/bsd.emacs.mk were taken from
PR/137956 by Ashish SHUKLA (thanks!). [1]
Those ports which define EMACS_PORT_NAME to be "emacs21" were
not touched (this time). They may be converted to the new
world order by removing the above mentioned assignment.
Four ports were marked as BROKEN with EMACS_PORT_NAME=emacs23
(they do not compile):
. lang/bigloo;
. mail/wanderlust;
. mail/wanderlust-devel;
. www/emacs-w3m.
Three ports were marked as IGNORE with EMACS_PORT_NAME=emacs23:
. japanese/egg-canna (the port version is dated as of 2001,
does not compile with Emacs 23 and seems it cannot be fixed);
. deskutils/remember.el (was incorporated into Emacs 23);
. editors/nxml (was incorporated into Emacs 23).
Changes that were made after (and as a result of) exp run. For
those ports:
. japanese/migemo-emacs21;
. japanese/migemo-emacs22
EMACS_PORT_NAME?= was changed to EMACS_PORT_NAME= to the apropriate
emacs port name.

With the goal of staying out of your way while writing creatively, PyRoom has a
very specialized featureset. In fact, most features are hidden from your main
interface, not cluttering your workspace with buttons and menus and statistics.
Features of PyRoom:
* no visual clutter
* work on multiple documents at once (main text, outline, etc)
* control PyRoom via keyboard shortcuts
* autosave your work
* check wordcounts on keypress
* choose from preconfigured designs or create your own color scheme
* further customize visual appearance and whitespace (line spacing, border,
padding...)

Add a slave port for the Alpine version of pico.
Pico and Pilot are simple, display-oriented tools. Commands are displayed
at the bottom of the screen, and context-sensitive help is provided.
In Pico as characters are typed they are immediately inserted into the text.
It has three basic features: paragraph justification, searching, and block
cut/paste.
In Pilot several basic file manipulation commands are provided:
Delete, Rename, Copy, View, Launch, and Edit. The "View" and "Edit"
commands operate on text files only. The "Edit" command invokes "pico."
The "Launch" command provides a convenient way to either execute the selected
file or to run an application on it.

SoftMaker Office 2006 comes with the following applications:
TextMaker 2006, the reliable and friendly word processor that reads and writes
all Microsoft Word files without a hitch.
PlanMaker 2006, the fully Excel-compatible spreadsheet (see review) that lets
you create the most intricate worksheets.
TextMaker and PlanMaker are a perfect match. They not only provide consistent
menu structures and dialog windows, but can also exchange data smoothly with
each other. For instance, you can insert PlanMaker worksheets into TextMaker.
Furthermore, both TextMaker and PlanMaker support the dBASE database format so
they can access the same database files.
Compatible with Microsoft Office, OpenDocument, and more, pdf exports.
TextMaker and PlanMaker read and write these file formats with highest fidelity.
You can even set your default file types in TextMaker and PlanMaker to "Word"
and "Excel" and never worry about exchanging documents again!
This trial version let you evaluate SoftMaker Office for 30 days. Export to
Word and Excel formats is disabled.

This is GNU Emacs ported to OS X and GNUstep, based on the earlier
Rhapsody, OPENSTEP, and NeXTSTEP versions.
This port offers superior platform support for MacOS X and GNUstep,
including full desktop integration (dock, drag/drop, etc.), standard
keybindings, use of standard Font, Color, and File open/save panels,
and support for Services. Via GNUstep, it provides anti-aliased font
rendering on Linux and other Unix systems.
This port is based on GNU Emacs 23 from CVS.

Lazarus is the class libraries for Free Pascal that emulate Delphi.
Free Pascal is a GPL'ed compiler that runs on Linux, Win32, OS/2, 68K
and more. Free Pascal is designed to be able to understand and compile
Delphi syntax, which is of course OOP.
Lazarus is the part of the missing puzzle that will allow you to
develop Delphi-like programs in all of the above platforms. Unlike Java
which strives to be a write once run anywhere, Lazarus and Free Pascal
strives for write once compile anywhere.
