wgpu-py is a Python implementation of WebGPU, the next generation GPU API.
It provides a Pythonic API for GPU rendering and compute that follows the
WebGPU specification, and uses wgpu-native as its backend, which in turn runs
on Vulkan, Metal, DX12 and OpenGL. It is the basis of the pygfx render engine.
NOTE: If this package has multiple flavors (see below), then use one of them instead of the name specified above. NOTE: This is a Python port. Instead of py312-wgpu listed in the above command, you can pick from the names under the Packages section.
