- UDP datagram size
FreeBSD limits UDP datagrams to 9216 bytes by default, while Linux allows
up to about 64 KB. Dart programs that send larger datagrams through
RawDatagramSocket fail with "Message too long" unless the limits are
raised:
# sysctl net.inet.udp.maxdgram=65535
# sysctl net.inet.udp.recvspace=262144
The first setting allows sending large datagrams; the second lets a
socket receive them. Add both to /etc/sysctl.conf to keep them across
reboots.
