Free Tennis is a tennis simulation. The most notable features of Free Tennis
are:
- Real tactics are useful in the game. For example, it is best to take the net
with a slow, low shot (backspin); it is best to play diagonal when you are
decentered horizontally, in order not to give angles; you should get back to
center and behind the baseline after the shot, in order not to be caught in
No-Man's-Land when the opponent hits
- The A.I. is very advanced and reflects those tactics;
- You have total control over the parabola described by the shot;
- The graphic gestures are realistic and elegant;
- Different players have different skills;
- The game is developed by a former tennis player;

Battle for Mandicor is a free (as in freedom) real time strategy game using
the Stratagus game engine. Stratagus is a free cross-platform RTS (Real Time
Strategy) game engine written in C, and scripted with Lua. Stratagus has been
used for many games, Battle for Mandicor being one of them.
The fantasy world called Mandicor is much like Tolkien's Middle-Earth and has
a long history. Though not yet finished, a player can control four races in
game; dwarves, gnomes, humans, and goblins. Each has advantages and
disadvantages within the game. While playing, you need to collect resources,
train large armies, and research items in order to create a more powerful
society and defeat the enemy. Campaigns, yet to be finished, will be based
upon a long and interesting history.

LaTrine is a curses-based LAnguage TRaINEr. It takes a dictionary and
asks you for a word or a phrase, and you try to give the correct answer.
You can choose in what direction LaTrine shall ask, and the selection of
the words or phrases will depend on how often you don't know the correct
translation for the respective phrase. This is a conventional way to drill
yourself in vocabulary. In addition to this package you need an
appropriate dictionary. You may write your own word list, or you can
download one from the internet. The Free Dictionaries Project provides
dictionaries for about 50 language combinations, which can be used with
LaTrine.

Cultivation is quite different from most other games. It is a social
simulation, and the primary form of conflict is over land and plant
resources---there is no shooting, but there are plenty of angry
looks. It is also an evolution simulation. Within the world of
Cultivation, you can explore a virtually infinite spectrum of
different plant and gardener varieties.
All of the graphics, sounds, melodies,and other content in Cultivation
are 100% procedurally generated at playtime. In other words, there
are no hand-painted texture maps---instead, each object has a
uniquely "grown" appearance. Every time you play, Cultivation
generates fresh visuals, music, and behaviors.

The intentions to the FTE QuakeWorld mod are to add some cool features to
QuakeWorld, without loosing any (backwards) compatability.
All QuakeWorld clients should be able to connect to an FTE server, and all FTE
clients should connect to any other QW server.
The FTE client, supports Quake, NetQuake, QuakeWorld, Quake II, Quake III
Arena, Hexen 2, Nexuiz and others.

The goal of this project is to add Cell Shading capabilities to the Quake III
engine with Real-time performance.
In order to provide such feature we have decided to use Kuwahara filter.
Kuwahara filter is a noise-reduction filter that preserves edges.
It uses four subquadrants to calculate the mean and variance and chooses the
mean value for the region with the smallest variance.
To increase the hand-painted effect we have decided to apply a simple blur
filter to reduce hard-edges on textures and increase the flatness effect.
To produce the cell shading effect we use no graphics card shaders, so our
implementation could run with almost any gfx card. The edge effect is produced
by painting backface polygons with a thick wireframe without textures and
repaint all the scene, but this time, with textures.
We have also implemented a different algorithm (we call it White Texture),
which uses white textures. It looks like this and this, you can set the
console variable r_celshadalgo to 2, and load another map, or run using the
appropiate link that came with the release.

Capture the Flag offers an exciting variation on team play. It gives more
meaning to base defense along with offensive positioning and organized
strikes.
The basic premise is this:
Attack the enemy base, grab their flag, then take it back to your base. In
this variation you must touch your base flag when carrying the enemy flag in
order to score - if your flag isn't at your base when you return, you or your
team must get it back to gain points and captures.

The objective of the PlaneShift is to create a virtual fantasy world in which a
player can start as a peasant in search of fame and become a hero. First of all
PlaneShift is a Role Playing Game. Be sure to read our Roleplay guidelines or
you will not be able to play this game. We will focus our efforts in the
reproduction of a real world with politics, economy, many non-player-characters
controlled by the server that will bring to life our world even without players
connected!
We want to give FREE access to everyone, without the need to either purchase
the game or pay a monthly fee. Servers and bandwidth will be donated by
sponsors.
Our virtual world is persistent, and this means you can connect to it at every
hour of day or night and you will always find players and npcs wandering our
realms. You will be able to disconnect and reconnect again, the server saves
the actual status of your character including his possessions.
You will use a client program to interact with our world, that enables you to
have a 3D view of the surroundings.
