GeoPandas is a project to add support for geographic data to pandas objects.
It currently implements GeoSeries and GeoDataFrame types which are subclasses
of pandas.Series and pandas.DataFrame respectively. GeoPandas objects can act
on shapely geometry objects and perform geometric operations.
GeoPandas geometry operations are cartesian. The coordinate reference system
(crs) can be stored as an attribute on an object, and is automatically set when
loading from a file. Objects may be transformed to new coordinate systems with
the to_crs() method. There is currently no enforcement of like coordinates for
operations, but that may change in the future.

Fiona is designed to be simple and dependable. It focuses on reading and
writing data in standard Python IO style and relies upon familiar Python
types and protocols such as files, dictionaries, mappings, and iterators
instead of classes specific to OGR. Fiona can read and write real-world
data using multi-layered GIS formats and zipped virtual file systems and
integrates readily with other Python GIS packages such as pyproj, Rtree,
and Shapely. Fiona is supported only on CPython versions 2.7 and 3.4+.

New port: graphics/waylandpp
Wayland is an object oriented display protocol, which features request
and events. Requests can be seen as method calls on certain objects,
whereas events can be seen as signals of an object. This makes the
Wayland protocol a perfect candidate for a C++ binding.
The goal of this library is to create such a C++ binding for Wayland
using the most modern C++ technology currently available, providing an
easy to use C++ API to Wayland.
WWW: https://github.com/NilsBrause/waylandpp
This port is ignored by default because it requires a build of
graphics/mesa-libs with WAYLAND=on which is off by default.

Convert Python ports to FLAVORS.
Ports using USE_PYTHON=distutils are now flavored. They will
automatically get flavors (py27, py34, py35, py36) depending on what
versions they support.
There is also a USE_PYTHON=flavors for ports that do not use distutils
but need FLAVORS to be set. A USE_PYTHON=noflavors can be set if
using distutils but flavors are not wanted.
A new USE_PYTHON=optsuffix that will add PYTHON_PKGNAMESUFFIX has been
added to cope with Python ports that did not have the Python
PKGNAMEPREFIX but are flavored.
USES=python now also exports a PY_FLAVOR variable that contains the
current python flavor. It can be used in dependency lines when the
port itself is not python flavored. For example, deskutils/calibre.
By default, all the flavors are generated. To only generate flavors
for the versions in PYTHON2_DEFAULT and PYTHON3_DEFAULT, define
BUILD_DEFAULT_PYTHON_FLAVORS in your make.conf.
In all the ports with Python dependencies, the *_DEPENDS entries MUST
end with the flavor so that the framework knows which to build/use.
This is done by appending '@${PY_FLAVOR}' after the origin (or
@${FLAVOR} if in a Python module with Python flavors, as the content
will be the same). For example:
RUN_DEPENDS= ${PYTHON_PKGNAMEPREFIX}six>0:devel/py-six@${PY_FLAVOR}

Add p5-Convert-Color-XTerm 0.05
This subclass of Convert::Color::RGB8 provides lookup of the colors that xterm
uses by default. Note that the module is not intelligent enough to actually
parse the XTerm configuration on a machine, nor to query a running terminal for
its actual colors. It simply implements the colors that are present as defaults
in the XTerm source code.
It implements the complete 256-color model in XTerm.

Add graphics/py-graphviz, simple Python interface for Graphviz
This package facilitates the creation and rendering of graph descriptions in the
DOT language of the Graphviz graph drawing software (repo) from Python.
Create a graph object, assemble the graph by adding nodes and edges, and
retrieve its DOT source code string. Save the source code to a file and render
it with the Graphviz installation of your system.
Use the view option/method to directly inspect the resulting (PDF, PNG, SVG,
etc.) file with its default application. Graphs can also be rendered and
displayed within Jupyter notebooks (a.k.a. IPython notebooks, example) as well
as the Jupyter Qt Console.
WWW: https://github.com/xflr6/graphviz
Already existed a port named graphics/py-graphviz, it was moved in
ports r408353 to graphics/py-pygraphviz because it was using an
incorrect name. More info in the commit log [1].

This is the functional update of xpdf to xpdf 4.00.
graphics/xpdf is renamed (actually copied) to xpdf3. Those who want to
continue to use xpdf with a Motif interface can either install xpdf3 or
set XPDF_VERSION=3 in make.conf and continue to install graphics/xpdf.
This works around any POLA issues people might have between the
old and the new.
PR: 222002

19:01 cy
PR/222002 initially patched graphics/xpdf to update to xpdf 4.00.
As xpdf 4.00 introduces a brand new GUI based on QT5 rather than
Motif, xpdf4 is being added as a new port, repocopied from
graphics/xpdf.
Subsequent to this commit graphics/xpdf will be renamed to xpdf3
and a master port of graphics/xpdf (similar in concept to
security/krb5, sysutils/cfengine and sysutils/syslog-ng) will be
created to allow users to seamlessly update. People concerned
with POLA will be encouraged to use the to be renamed graphics/xpdf3
port.

New port: graphics/drm-next-kmod.
This port includes the current state of the FreeBSDDesktop drm-next efforts to
port Linux DRM/KMS components to FreeBSD via the linuxkpi. This version of the
port incorporates Linux 4.9 code and works for amdgpu (HD7000/Tahiti and newer)
and i915 (HD3000/Sandy Bridge and newer) on recent FreeBSD HEAD.
A lot of people helped to make this happen by testing and reporting bugs.
However, very special acknowledgements are in order for kip, markj, hselasky,
kwm, Johannes Lundberg, and Pete Wright.

New port: graphics/qt5-wayland
Marketing blurb [1]:
QtWayland is a Qt 5 module that wraps the functionality of Wayland.
QtWayland is separated into a client and server side. The client side
is the wayland platform plugin, and provides a way to run Qt applications
as Wayland clients. The server side is the QtCompositor API, and allows
users to write their own Wayland compositors.
This is mostly needed at the moment to make upstream KDE-CI happy, therefore
we don't wire it into the metaport devel/qt5.
It requires a little change to devel/qt5-qmake, as we needed to modify the
installed bsd.conf to know about wayland/egl.

Update GStreamer1 ports to 1.12.2.
Rework the adding of dependancies in Mk/bsd.gstreamer.mk.
Previous when using USE_GSTREAMER[1] it would just add the request modules to
BUILD/RUN_DEPENDS. This caused the qa script to complain because the old code
didn't implicit depend on the gstreamer1 and gstreamer1-plugins[-bad] ports for
the libraries they carried, even if they where present via the plugins! The new
code adds implicit depends on these ports so USE_GSTREAMER[1] using ports have
all the libraries included.
* The mad mp3 plugin was removed, mpg123 plugin also provides mp3 decoding.
Switch over ports that used the gstreamer1 mad plugin.
* gtksink plugin renamed -> gtk
* Hook up the sndio plugin into the framework
* Add some indirect dependacies where needed
* Reorder the plugin list in bsd.gstreamer.mk so only one plugin per line. When
changing plugins it doesn't result in multiple lines being changed.
* Remove mentions in bsd.gstreamer.mk of plugins mentions that where removed.
* Depend on libunwind on i386/amd64, GStreamer links to it if it is present.

Update the Calligra ports to 3.0.1.
The 3.x series is based on KDE Frameworks 5, and some programs have been split
into separate ports:
- Sheets, Words & co are in editors/calligra.
- Krita is in graphics/krita.
- Kexi is in databases/kexi.
- The calligra-l10n* ports are now part of editors/calligra itself.
Okular support in editors/calligra and Marble support in textproc/kreport have
been disabled for now because they need the KF5 version of those ports.
Thanks to everyone who's tested it and worked on it in our area51 repository.

graphics/vapoursynth-fmtconv: add new port
Requested by: Juho Kerola
Fmtconv is a format-conversion plug-in for the Vapoursynth video
processing engine.
It does:
* Resizing.
* Bitdepth conversion with dithering.
* Colorspace conversion (matrix, transfer characteristics and chromatic
adaptation).
It supports:
* Pixel data types: 8--12-, 14- and 16-bit integer, 32-bit float.
* Colorspaces: RGB, Y, YUV in 4:4:4, 4:2:2, 4:2:0, 4:1:1 and YCgCo with the same
chroma subsampling factors.
* Progressive and interlaced content.
Fmtconv is focussed primarily on quality and exactness rather than
execution speed. This does not mean it is slow or unoptimized, but
fmtconv is clearly not on par with the fastest equivalent 8-bit
filters.

- Add new port: graphics/R-cran-viridis
Port of the new 'matplotlib' color maps ('viridis' - the default -,
'magma', 'plasma' and 'inferno') to 'R'. 'matplotlib'
<http://matplotlib.org/> is a popular plotting library for 'python'.
These color maps are designed in such a way that they will analytically
be perfectly perceptually-uniform, both in regular form and also
when converted to black-and-white. They are also designed to be
perceived by readers with the most common form of color blindness.
