Gramps gives you the ability to record the many details of an
individual's life as well as the complex relationships between
various people, places and events. All of your research is kept
organized, searchable and as precise as you need it to be.
The Gramps project strives to produce a genealogy program that is
both intuitive for hobbyists and feature-complete for professional
genealogists. It is a community project, created, developed and
governed by genealogists.
It is written in Python, using a GTK3 interface.

Reason:
databases/py-bsddb3 is deprecated and will be removed in the future. With that
gramps will lose the ability to load family trees using Berkeley DB.
It is suggested to migrate all family trees using Berkeley DB by exporting
them to gramps xml and import that gramps xml into a family tree using sqlite
as database.

Remove WWW entries moved into port Makefiles
Commit b7f05445c00f has added WWW entries to port Makefiles based on
WWW: lines in pkg-descr files.
This commit removes the WWW: lines of moved-over URLs from these
pkg-descr files.

Add WWW entries to port Makefiles
It has been common practice to have one or more URLs at the end of the
ports' pkg-descr files, one per line and prefixed with "WWW:". These
URLs should point at a project website or other relevant resources.
Access to these URLs required processing of the pkg-descr files, and
they have often become stale over time. If more than one such URL was
present in a pkg-descr file, only the first one was tarnsfered into
the port INDEX, but for many ports only the last line did contain the
port specific URL to further information.
There have been several proposals to make a project URL available as
a macro in the ports' Makefiles, over time.

science/gramps: Optional dependency on py-bsddb3
databases/py-bsddb3 is deprecated. Make science/gramps use py-bsddb3 as an
option to facilitate the migration and remove the DEPRECATE note since it does
not apply anymore.
Add UPDATING note with instructions for the migration.

- Requires py-bsddb3 which depends on upstream EOLd db5 which is set to
expire on 2022-06-30 in the tree.
- If you want this port to stay chase upstream to use py-berkeleydb from

science/gramps: Tidy up the USE_PYTHON settings
- Set USE_PYTHON=noflavors, since gramps is a GUI application and
flavors make no sense here
- Remove use of deprecated USE_PYTHON=optsuffix - no suffix required
when flavors are not used
Cleanup Mk/Uses/gnome.mk.
- Remove the use of comp_DETECT.
- Remove all comp_DETECT variables.
- Remove a use of comp_DETECT outside of gnome.mk

Convert Python ports to FLAVORS.
Ports using USE_PYTHON=distutils are now flavored. They will
automatically get flavors (py27, py34, py35, py36) depending on what
versions they support.
There is also a USE_PYTHON=flavors for ports that do not use distutils
but need FLAVORS to be set. A USE_PYTHON=noflavors can be set if
using distutils but flavors are not wanted.
A new USE_PYTHON=optsuffix that will add PYTHON_PKGNAMESUFFIX has been
added to cope with Python ports that did not have the Python
PKGNAMEPREFIX but are flavored.
USES=python now also exports a PY_FLAVOR variable that contains the

graphics/py-graphviz: Move to py-pygraphviz, Fix 3.x build
There are numerous graphviz related packages in PyPI, including:
graphviz, graphviz-python and pygraphviz.
This port, py-graphviz, is not and does not provide the same package
as the 'graphviz' package on PyPI (CHEESESHOP).
Further, it blocks the creation of a correctly named py-graphviz port,
is a POLA violation in terms of users expecting to find and recieve
the package they expect based on a standard search, and is likely to
create confusion among other ports if they depend on a python graphviz
package, which could result in incorrect packages/dependencies.
This is why among other reasons, Python packages should be named

Part 1 of adding USE_GNOME=intltool to ports that require it.
The reason for this is that in the GNOME 3.16 update, USE_GNOME gtk20 and
gtk30 don't pull intltool in anymore.

Drop py-xml dependency - it's not used in this port. While here

- Set CPPFLAGS and LIBS in a number of ports so configure can find libintl.h
and libintl.so. This fixes a problem where DATADIRNAME gets an incorrect
value which causes locale files to be installed in the wrong place.
- The only configure checks that still need to be patched are related
to intltool so move DATADIRNAME patching from USES=pathfix to
USE_GNOME=intlhack.

Berkeley DB cleanup, remove versions 4.0 ... 4.7.
- Mk/bsd.database.mk rewrite, new default to db5.

Convert most of remaining ports that depend on xorg-libraries to
modular xorg.
- supply corresponding USE_XORG for all imake-using ports that need it

supports them. This is determined by running ``configure --help'' in
do-configure target and set the shell variable _LATE_CONFIGURE_ARGS
