AFS is a distributed filesystem product, pioneered at Carnegie Mellon
University and supported and developed as a product by Transarc Corporation
(now IBM Pittsburgh Labs). It offers a client-server architecture for
federated file sharing and replicated read-only content distribution,
providing location independence, scalability, security, and transparent
migration capabilities. AFS is available for a broad range of heterogeneous
systems including UNIX, Linux, MacOS X, and Microsoft Windows.

IBM branched the source of the AFS product, and made a copy of the source
available for community development and maintenance. They called the
release OpenAFS.

JGroups is a toolkit for reliable multicast communication.
(Note that this doesn't necessarily mean IP Multicast,
JGroups can also use transports such as TCP).
It can be used to create groups of processes whose members can
send messages to each other. The main features include:

* Group creation and deletion
* Joining and leaving of groups
* Membership detection and notification about joined/left/crashed members
* Detection and removal of crashed members
* Sending and receiving of member-to-group messages (point-to-multipoint)
* Sending and receiving of member-to-member messages (point-to-point)

Kombu is an AMQP messaging framework for Python.

The aim of Kombu is to make messaging in Python as easy as
possible by providing an idiomatic high-level interface for
the AMQP protocol, and also provide proven and tested solutions
to common messaging problems.

Features:

    * Allows application authors to support several message
server solutions by using pluggable transports.
    * Supports automatic encoding, serialization and compression
      of message payloads.
    * Consistent exception handling across transports.
    * The ability to ensure that an operation is performed by
gracefully handling connection and channel errrors.
    * Several annoyances with amqplib has been fixed, like
supporting timeouts and the ability to wait for events on
      more than one channel.

net/py-oauth2 was originally forked from Leah Culver and Andy Smith's
oauth.py code (see net/py-oauth).

A number of notable differences exist between this code and its
forefathers:

* 100% unit test coverage.
* The DataStore object has been completely ripped out.
* Classes are no longer prefixed with OAuth.
* The Request class now extends from dict.
* The library is likely no longer compatible with Python 2.3.
* The Client class works and extends from httplib2.

Add new port: net/unison232, an older version of net/unison that speaks
the 2.32 protocol for compatibility with hosts not using FreeBSD ports. [1]

Note that other than discussed in the PR, this port installs
unison232[-text] commands and documentation into .../unison232
directories so as to avoid conflicts with net/unison and allow
parallel installation of both ports.

Other changes since repocopy than renaming:

- Take maintainership for this new port for now and grant Guido Falsi
  implicit approval for port changes.

- Downgrade to 2.32.52 (the repocopy copied HEAD rather than the
specified date) - note I'm not bumping PORTEPOCH since unison232
wasn't hooked to the build before this commit, and we've renamed to
installed port/package from unison to unison232, so it's technically a
  new port.

- Query GTK2 support through OPTIONS framework, unless WITHOUT_X11 is
defined. Check WITHOUT_GTK2 variable, don't care about WITH_GTK2.

- Create ${DESKTOPDIR} before trying to install files into it, for the
benefit of systems that install into a fresh PREFIX.

- Remove CONFLICTS, add PKGNAMESUFFIX=232.

- Clean up the Makefile a bit, and don't hide non-echo/cat commands

- Remove pkg-message variants

- Hook net/unison232 to the tree in net/Makefile

- Add UPDATING entry

- Add German translation for the .desktop file.

This module implements a scalable method of quickly propagating files
to a large number of servers in one or more locations via rsync or
scp.

This module and the included script, ccp, take a much more efficient
approach that is O(log n). Once the file(s) are been copied to a
remote server, that server will be promoted to be used as source
server for copying to remaining servers. Thus, the rate of transfer
increases exponentially rather than linearly.

Servers can be specified in groups (e.g. datacenter) to prevent
copying across groups. This maximizes the number of transfers done
over a local high-speed connection (LAN) while minimizing the number
of transfers over the WAN.

The number of multiple simultaneous transfers per source point is
configurable. The total number of simultaneously forked processes is
limited via Proc::Queue, and is currently hard coded to 32.

POEx::Role::TCPServer bundles up the lower level
SocketFactory/ReadWrite combination of wheels into a simple
Moose::Role. It builds upon other POEx modules such as
POEx::Role::SessionInstantiation and POEx::Types.

The events for SocketFactory for and for each ReadWrite instantiated
are methods that can be advised in any way deemed fit. Advising these
methods is actually encouraged and can simplify code for the consumer.

The only method that must be provided by the consuming class is
handle_inbound_data.

Dico is an implementation of DICT server (RFC 2229). It is fully
modular: the daemon itself (dicod) provides only the server
functionality, but it knows nothing about database formats. Actual
searches are performed by functions supplied in loadable modules. A
single module can serve one or more databases. The package includes
the following database modules: dictorg, guile, python, and outline.

New port: The vblade is the virtual EtherDrive (R) blade, a program that
makes a seekable file available over an ethernet local area network (LAN)
via the ATA over Ethernet (AoE) protocol.

The seekable file is typically a block device like /dev/md0 but even
regular files will work. Sparse files can be especially convenient.
When vblade exports the block storage over AoE it becomes a storage
target. Another host on the same LAN can access the storage if it has
a compatible aoe kernel driver.
