Oniguruma is a modern and flexible regular expressions library. It
encompasses features from different regular expression implementations
that traditionally exist in different languages. It comes close to
being a complete superset of all regular expression features found
in other regular expression implementations.
Its features include:
* Character encoding can be specified per regular expression object.
* Several regular expression types are supported:
* POSIX
* Grep
* GNU Regex
* Perl
* Java
* Ruby
* Emacs
===> The following configuration options are available for oniguruma-6.9.10:

Remove WWW entries moved into port Makefiles
Commit b7f05445c00f has added WWW entries to port Makefiles based on
WWW: lines in pkg-descr files.
This commit removes the WWW: lines of moved-over URLs from these
pkg-descr files.
Approved by: portmgr (tcberner)
Add WWW entries to port Makefiles
It has been common practice to have one or more URLs at the end of the
ports' pkg-descr files, one per line and prefixed with "WWW:". These
URLs should point at a project website or other relevant resources.
Access to these URLs required processing of the pkg-descr files, and
they have often become stale over time. If more than one such URL was
present in a pkg-descr file, only the first one was tarnsfered into
the port INDEX, but for many ports only the last line did contain the
port specific URL to further information.
There have been several proposals to make a project URL available as
a macro in the ports' Makefiles, over time.

devel/oniguruma: Fix users who depend on onigposix.h that was recently made
optional and disabled by default by the upstream
Reported by: Fabien Lo Ricco <developer@nordan.ch>
devel/oniguruma: Update to 6.7.0
Additional changes:
* Took ownership. Maintainer's timeout expired,
and my repeated requests to the maintainer went unanswered.
* Rewrote the package description. Also submitted it to the
upstream with the suggestion to replace the current description.
* Used tarballs accoding to the policy.
* Added the STATISTICS port option to reflect the option in configure.

Remove UNIQUENAME and LATEST_LINK.
UNIQUENAME was never unique, it was only used by USE_LDCONFIG and now,
we won't have conflicts there.
Use PKGBASE instead of LATEST_LINK in PKGLATESTFILE, the *only* consumer
is pkg-devel, and it works just fine without LATEST_LINK as pkg-devel
has the correct PKGNAME anyway.
Now that UNIQUENAME is gone, OPTIONSFILE is too. (it's been called
OPTIONS_FILE now.)

Update Oniguruma to 1.8.0 (20030222).
- Implement named subexp (def: (?<name>...), ref: \g<name>)
- Implement variable syntax
- Add support for Basic Regular Expression (BRE) in POSIX API
Update to 1.7 (20030204), with improved performance.
According to the author's post on a mailing list, a simple benchmark
shows that Oniguruma is 10-20% faster than PCRE 3.9 under the ASCII
(single byte) encoding.
Add devel/oniguruma.
Oniguruma is a BSDL Regular Expression library written for ruby-m17n,
which implements all of Perl extensions plus more. It has multiple
APIs; GNU regex, POSIX regex and its own interface.
This library is fundamentally multilingualized and can have one
encoding for each object. Currently supported character encodings
are ASCII, UTF-8, EUC-JP and Shift_JIS.
