This is a collection of plugins written with the GStreamer framework.
Some features of these plugins are:
- Dynamically loaded plugins provide elements and media types,
demand-loaded via an XML registry, similar to ld.so.cache
- Element interface handles all known types of sources, filters,
sinks
- Capabilities system allows verification of element compatibility
using MIME types and media-specific properties
- Autoplugging uses capabilities system to complete complex paths
automatically
- Pipelines can be saved to XML and loaded back to working state
- Resource friendly plugins don't waste RAM
GSteamer1: Uppdate to 1.28.5
multimedia/gstreamer1-plugins-rust is now a first-class citizen using gstreamer
tagging.
Refactor custom targets in multimedia/gstreamer1 and fix a few bugs in
generate-vuxml-entry.py.

Add a `create-vuxml` target to multimedia/gstreamer1 to automagically

multimedia/gstreamer1-plugins: Fix CPE data

multimedia/gstreamer1-plugins: Introduce GST_PLUGIN_DEPENDS
Some plugins such as graphics/gstreamer1-plugins-vulkan has a dependency
of wayland which previously were handled by passing both CONFIGURE_ARGS and
MESON_ARGS via the gstreamer1 "framework" as the framework isn't
aware if dependencies to get what would eventually end up in MESON_ARGS in
correct order. This approach broke with commit
bf193dc1da282c769d3291817a8378adbd762ac7 as we now only make use of
MESON_ARGS instead of incorrectly using CONFIGURE_ARGS to pass
MESON_ARGS. In order to fix this introduce GST_PLUGIN_DEPENDS which
gets appended after gstreamer's current framework logic in MESON_ARGS.
It only supports defining one dependency but it's sufficient fow now.

GStreamer1: Update to 1.28.0
The y4menc (previously from good) and y4mdec (previously from bad)
plugins have been consolidated into y4m (now from good).
The vaapi component (multimedia/gstreamer1-vaapi) is no longer supplied
by upstream and will be removed after 2026Q1. This has been superseded by
the va plugin from 'bad', which we don't have and is rather Linux-heavy,
but no ports seem to use this anyways. Remove from makesum-all target
and adjust to be static 1.26.10 (last available) version.

Details:
If audio/libtremor is installed, the dependency may be picked up by the
auto detection. This leads so a build error in gstreamer1-plugins-ogg.
This patch explicitly disables tremor in gstreamer-* ports.

gstreamer now supports the "Secure Reliable Transport (SRT) Protocol"
via www/srt. This port adds the corresponding plugin, via

Remove WWW entries moved into port Makefiles
Commit b7f05445c00f has added WWW entries to port Makefiles based on
WWW: lines in pkg-descr files.
This commit removes the WWW: lines of moved-over URLs from these
pkg-descr files.

Add WWW entries to port Makefiles
It has been common practice to have one or more URLs at the end of the
ports' pkg-descr files, one per line and prefixed with "WWW:". These
URLs should point at a project website or other relevant resources.
Access to these URLs required processing of the pkg-descr files, and
they have often become stale over time. If more than one such URL was
present in a pkg-descr file, only the first one was tarnsfered into
the port INDEX, but for many ports only the last line did contain the
port specific URL to further information.
There have been several proposals to make a project URL available as
a macro in the ports' Makefiles, over time.

gstreamer 1.x has been introduced long ago and gstreamer 0.x was kept
to let time for applications to catchup on gstreamer 1.x

* graphics/gstreamer-plugins-opencv: disabled, as it uses the no longer shipped
OpenCV-1.0 API

graphics/opencv: update to 4.5.1 -- and make port more easily maintainable
This is a major upgrade from 3.x to 4.x.

Note: this has explicitely not been added as a new graphics/opencv4 port, but
replaces the
previous graphics/opencv[3] port. Again, to improve maintainability by not

* graphics/opencv-core which existed to enable ffmpeg to depend on opencv,
and vice versa

Update devel/gmake to 4.3.
Some changes have been made in this release that break backwards

Bump PORTREVISION for ports depending on the canonical version of GCC

This plugins is a wrapper that exposes lv2 plugins to gstreamer applications.

multimedia/gstreamer1-plugins/Makefile.common:
* Remove configure disable switches for sunadio and wgl, these
plugins where removed in 1.14.
* Move gtk3 from the "bad" plugins to the "good" plugins. This removes a
warning from the configure stage of "bad" plugins about unknown

Split out evdev headers from multimedia/v4l_compat
Split out evdev headers (input.h, input-event-codes.h, uinput.h) into their
own port, devel/evdev-proto, and update those to be current with the Linux
4.19 kernel. This is done in order to be able to update the rest of the
FreeBSD input stack, which is forthcoming.
By splititng out the evdev headers we can update them independent of other
updates in v4l_compat, which makes it easier for the graphics team to keep
track of them and keep them updated as needed.
Update devel/libevdev from 1.4.4 to 1.5.9 instead of trying to make it work
with the updated headers. This will be further updated.
Update devel/py-evdev from 0.5.0 to 0.8.1 instead of trying to make it work

Adjust LIB_DEPENDS of all ports that require ilmbase or openexr to chase
the new lower-case spelling of the name, and to omit the version from the
library name to ease future maintenance.
Bump PORTREVISION of all ports that depend on ilmbase or openexr directly,
so that they all get rebuilt on upgrades.
Add patches to graphics/ampasCTL to keep it alive, with (a) ilmbase now
that its Iex::BaseExc class is no longer derived from std::string,
details were given upstream through https://github.com/ampas/CTL/issues/71
and (b) to unwind semicolon/;-lists in cmake that stem from openexr/
ilmbase pkg-config variables.
(Note ampasCTL is unmaintained as FreeBSD port, and upstream,
and I cannot run-time test it.)
Poudriere build tests on 11.2-RELEASE-p1 amd64 of ALL ports depending
directly or indirectly on ilmbase and/or openexr have passed without
regressions. Thus invoking due diligence, I believe I have done the
equivalent of an -exp run, and do not require approval for the dependency
chases to third-party ports.
Bump PORTREVISION for ports depending on the canonical version of GCC
in the ports tree (via Mk/bsd.default-versions.mk and lang/gcc) which
has now moved from GCC 6 to GCC 7 by default.
This includes ports
- featuring USE_GCC=yes or USE_GCC=any,
- featuring USES=fortran,
- using Mk/bsd.octave.mk which in turn features USES=fortran, and those

Update GStreamer1 ports to 1.12.2.
Rework the adding of dependancies in Mk/bsd.gstreamer.mk.
Previous when using USE_GSTREAMER[1] it would just add the request modules to
BUILD/RUN_DEPENDS. This caused the qa script to complain because the old code
didn't implicit depend on the gstreamer1 and gstreamer1-plugins[-bad] ports for
the libraries they carried, even if they where present via the plugins! The new
code adds implicit depends on these ports so USE_GSTREAMER[1] using ports have
all the libraries included.
* The mad mp3 plugin was removed, mpg123 plugin also provides mp3 decoding.
Switch over ports that used the gstreamer1 mad plugin.
* gtksink plugin renamed -> gtk
* Hook up the sndio plugin into the framework
* Add some indirect dependacies where needed
* Reorder the plugin list in bsd.gstreamer.mk so only one plugin per line. When
changing plugins it doesn't result in multiple lines being changed.
* Remove mentions in bsd.gstreamer.mk of plugins mentions that where removed.
* Depend on libunwind on i386/amd64, GStreamer links to it if it is present.
